Who We Are  |  Our History

In 1966, the Lord called Charles Kingsfield to plant and purchase a new church in Vic West. Later that year, “Victoria West Community Bible Church“ was born.

Four years later, Charles met Harald Bredesen, a former Lutheran pastor and a leading figure in the Charismatic Renewal. Under God’s direction, Charles appointed Harald pastor in January 1971. The name was changed to Trinity Christian Centre (TCC) shortly after.

In order to devote his full attention to an international preaching ministry, Harald Bredesen stepped down as lead pastor in January 1976. Building on the strong foundation laid by Bredesen, John Stone diligently served as pastor of TCC for almost twenty years.

In 1995 John Stone was led to ask Ivor Lewis and his family to return from ten years of missions in South Africa and serve as new lead elder of TCC.

In 1996, the church building in Vic West was sold, and TCC moved to 3814 Carey Road. TCC enjoyed Carey Road for 10 years, and in 2006 moved to its present location in the Garth Homer Centre at 813 Darwin Avenue.

In 2000, TCC formed a relationship with New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI), a trans local apostolic/prophetic team. With the support of a strong elders/deacons team and under the covering of NCMI’s apostolic/prophetic team, Ivor and Jakki continue to build on the vision of TCC, which seeks to establish a biblical model of leadership, worship, intercession, community and outreach to the nations.
